Media Masterclass on Ocean Science concludes in Nadi, Fiji

The Pacific Island Conference on Ocean Science and Ocean Management Media Master Class took place over two days. The event gathered journalists from 11 Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs) and Pacific scientists with the aim of fostering a deeper understanding of Ocean and Fisheries Science. The training was specifically designed to give regional journalists a comprehensive grasp of Pacific concepts surrounding ocean science. Dr. Katy Soapi inaugurated the Master Class, emphasizing the significance of storytelling in catalyzing change, with her statement, "Every story has the power to empower change”.

Ngewakl Isaac Soaladaob was a participant/fellow of The Pacific Community (SPC), Pacific Islands News Association (PINA), Fiji Media Association (FMA) and Internews Earth Journalism Network Ocean Science and Ocean Management Media Masterclass in September 2023 in Nadi, Fiji.
