Ocean acidification is the ractio between Carbon dioxide and water, which forms carbonic acid that increases water acidity. It has increased by about 26% and surface seawater is 30% more acidic than it was 50 years ago. The Ocean Acidification process is having impacts on coral reefs, shellfish, fisheries and ultimately, livelihoods of coastal communities.
