Stat of the Week – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

In Samoa, 32% of women aged 15–49 who have ever been partnered reported experiencing physical, sexual, or psychological violence from an intimate partner in the past 12 months.

This figure is a stark reminder that gender-based violence remains a major challenge across the Pacific, affecting the safety, dignity and wellbeing of women and girls.

On 25 November, let’s stand together to end violence against women and promote respect, equality, and empowerment for all.
