In observance of World Braille Day on 4 January, we highlight seeing disabilities in the Pacific.

In 2021, 1.16% of the population in Tonga (aged 5+) identified as having a seeing disability. This is a reminder of the importance of accessibility and inclusion for individuals with visual impairments. 

Let’s continue to raise awareness and support those who rely on Braille and other tools for greater independence and equality.
