'The Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (PFSD) provides a unique platform to share perspectives and learn from one another on common priorities and approaches to address, inter alia, the twin crises of COVID-19 and climate change for the Pacific member States.
ESCAP will co-host the fifth PFSD with the Government of Fiji under the theme “Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the context of COVID-19 and the Climate Emergency” to reflect the urgency of global climate actions, and the implications of the findings of the latest IPCC (Group 1) Report and the COP26 outcomes for the Pacific. The focus of the agenda is on implementing the 2030 Agenda in the context of COVID-19 and the climate crisis, social protection and inclusion, regional cooperation initiatives, and financing for development and climate actions.'
