In American Samoa, 71% of Terrestrial Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) are covered by protected areas in average in 2021.

This is one of the highest rate reported in the Pacific. KBAs are the most important places in the world for species and their habitats. This why we must protect these areas, essential for life.
