This design workshop is convened to finalise the objectives of the joint Kiribati-EQAP-ACER research into the effectiveness of its approaches in teaching English as a Foreign Language. Kiribati has invested significant resources into helping students learn the English language. The planned research is intent on helping the ministry strengthen its support for student achievement in this critical area of learning. Findings of the research will inform the country's nation's EFL teaching policy and practice, with the ultimate aim of helping teachers be more effective in their teaching so that more students achieve better learning outcomes. The project is supported by the Australian Government's Innovation Funding for education initiatives.
