COP 27 SIDE EVENT: Our Food System and the climate crisis: promoting food security to enhance climate adaptation

This side event aims to highlight how Pacific Island Countries and Territories ensure food security in the region, making genetic diversity part of climate change adaptation. It will present the Pacific Community's Centre for Pacific Crops and Trees (CePACT), which houses over 2,000 accessions of the region's staple crops taro, yam, sweet potato, banana, cassava, and breadfruit.
